Job description: We are currently seeking an Information Technology Developer, Applications to assist our Vice President, Technology Services in strategy and execution of multiple concurrent software product developments and data management projects. Is responsible for assisting with the evaluation and management of project risks, scope, budget, and timelines as well as software engineering processes and technology & data management architecture. Coordinates cross-enterprise communications and directs software development efforts across multiple business segments, partners and third party vendors. Specific duties include:
• Responsible for planning, systems and architectural design, and technical development for all software development, data management and reporting/analytics projects.
• Provide guidance and direction to functional software engineering, QA teams
• Oversee implementation, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of software development
• Actively participate in defining the strategic direction and technology roadmap for Avivia’s software products
• Coordinate, facilitate, and drive projects from the business, SME, and operations perspectives.
• Follow and enforce an Agile-based SDLC methodology.
• Assist with the management of multiple technology, service, and information vendors to successful design, implementation, and deliveries.
• Proactively recommend and/or respond to client and partner requests for enhancements related to the suite of products and supporting service infrastructure.
• Develop strong collaborative relationships and manage critical interactions with internal and external client, their consultants, business partners and vendors.
• Responsible for planning, technical design & development for reporting and data analytics projects
• Oversee implementation, deployment, maintenance of data reporting and analytics projects
• Assist in defining strategic direction for Avivia’s data reporting and analytics capabilities
• Participate in business planning activities to understand strategic direction and to provide solution design perspectives.
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with various business segments of Avivia Health and Kaiser Permanente.
• Update and maintain Avivia's capabilities model.
• Work to ensure deliverables conform to overall, unified Business and IT strategies.
• Assist in review and authoring of software functional specifications for new products and features ensuring alignment with Avivia’s product and technology directions
• Collect, organize and prioritize new feature requests for products and services.
• Help coordinate product development and release schedules.
• Assist with partner communication and messaging.
• Work with Marketing to drive product marketing programs.
• Work with Engineering and QA to refine product features and implementation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field and five years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer, Program Manager, or a related field. Experience must include:
• Experience with software development and technology architecture development
• Experience with program management with CMM (L5) organizations.
• Experience managing an international team
• Experience leading infrastructure development, processes, resources and technology development.
• Experience with software development on versatile technology platforms including C++ MVC, Java Frameworks, .Net and PHP/LAMP.
• Experience analyzing, determining and spearheading implementation of Waterfall, Spiral and Rational Unified Process (RUP) based Agile engineering methodology in development and QA environments.
